Being Anointed By The Holy Spirit
In the Bible, olive oil speaks of the Holy Spirit and his anointing. Olive oil is obtained by crushing olives. This same process is necessary for a person to be used mightily by God. Someone’s anointing is for him, but another’s anointing is for someone else. Understand this, if Jesus needs a process, what about you and me!? No one has the right to enter higher education unless he passes the required examinations. Therefore, Jesus went through the trials necessary to declare Him the author of salvation.

God’s anointing comes only through the process of destroying the selfish, self-confident part of man and thereby releasing the power of the Spirit. God’s amazing power will be released throughout your life when you are ready to surrender, be baptized, and be filled with the Holy Spirit. You have to prepare through tests and trials. The apostle Peter understood this process and these were his divinely inspired words.
1Pet 1:6-9 6 In all this you will rejoice greatly, although now for a little while you will have to suffer all kinds of trials. 7 The proven purity of your faith – more precious than gold, which even when purified by fire perishes – may cause praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8 Though you do not see him, you love him; And though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with unspeakable and wonderful joy, 9 because you will receive the final result of your faith, which is the salvation of your soul.
Look at the words of the Apostle James on this: “My brothers, consider it pure joy when you face trials of various kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work, that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing. James 1:2-4
