Every Monday I wake up and say, “I’m going to start writing again this week.” But before I knew it, Friday afternoon came and I hadn’t written anything. “What did I do all week?” I ask myself. CBS played a huge role in my spiritual growth in my 30s and 40s, and I found out we had a class in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It feels like coming home. I have rediscovered my roots. Since I last wrote, God has definitely led me into a comeback season.
I also started Priscilla Shirer’s new study, “Description of the Voice of God.” Sometimes there are verses that seem to jump off the page or a moment when you just want to say “Yes Lord, I hear you.”

“Never think of your situation as something separate from his leadership and his will. He uses seemingly meaningless activities as tools to guide you to his purposes or to lead you into different situations. When you ask him for guidance, he considers the possibility that your current tasks and responsibilities are already part of the path that leads you to his purpose.
My pastor asked the question the other day, “How do you spend your time outside of work?” Now this is a very pointed question and it cuts deep into my soul. I’ve been putting off writing for a few months now. This question and Priscilla’s Bible study led me to do what I love to do, write. Writing sustains me. Writing motivates me to dig deeper into the scriptures. Writing makes me investigate. I like to do all those things. “All you can do is be fully committed to the task at hand today.” Priscilla Shirer. My writing could be just for me. In fact, if you’re reading this, you’re just reading a conversation in my head that leads me to a very powerful aspect of my walk with God. I want to write. He pulls me closer to him.
It’s been so long since I posted on this website that I don’t even know how to navigate to all the new updates. I have no idea how to insert images into posts. It just shows me that God wants to actualize my relationship with him. The gift of him that he has put inside of me burns, but if I fall too far behind, I won’t be able to fully utilize all the images I have in my present.
