Guided By The Holy Spirit

Guided By The Holy Spirit

Guided By The Holy Spirit – But when He comes the Spirit of truth He will guide you into all truth. He does not speak for himself but speaks only what he hears. He will speak to you of things that are yet to come.

One of the best leadership lessons I’ve learned is to think of interacting with others as collaboration. Instead of a one-way structure, sometimes certain things need to be repeated in a conversation. To help both of us unlock the meaning we don’t want to miss by reading the eyes of the person we’re talking to.

In John 16:13 appears a verse very similar to John’s earlier statement in John 15:26. Jesus described the work of the Holy Spirit a little later “and he shall bear witness of me”. Jesus reiterates this same point, but with a slight twist: “He will lead you into all truth.” He will tell you things to come.” From me all that belongs to the Father is mine. This is why I say that what the Spirit shows you will receive from me.

Do Not Get Drunk With Wine, For That Is Wickedness, But Be Filled With The Holy Spirit And…

I don’t know about you but I need the guidance of the Holy Spirit in this life. Since I was young I have actively gathered wisdom to make important decisions from my network of family members, mentors, friends, co-workers, mentors and acquaintances. All my sources provide valuable information when I request it. (And sometimes when I don’t want to.) Many times, the people I ask to lead me are “whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is beautiful, whatever is admirable . . . wonderful or praiseworthy” (Philippians 4:8). And I make big decisions before God. Had to sort out the best course of action to take.

That is why it is so important to develop the ability to discern and perceive what the Holy Spirit is. Saying “leads us into all truth” – may be contrary to what others say! Instead of learning to discern and listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit, many of us tend to attract those around us. Our experience is best practice or even what we learned immediately in the corporate or church world.

We are confused and struggle because we have limited understanding of the source and ourselves. We can try to call it spiritual wisdom. But the same thing is not a useful experience but what if Jesus speaks by the Spirit within you? Asking you things that contradict those experiences. Excellent training and a contextual learning environment. Remember Peter and his vision of unclean animals (Acts 10:9-23) Remember Paul and the Macedonian man (Acts 16:9-10) Our best ideas are not always the best.

Understanding comes by cultivating a life of listening to the Holy Spirit. We use all information to make informed decisions. Weigh the pros and cons of the different directions we can take. We feast on the scriptures and live in submission to God. But we offer God what Ignatius of Loyola called our “attachment”—the desired end. There are things within us (even good ones) that can interfere with hearing the Holy Spirit speak to us. We name our desired results, place them on the altar and say, “Father, your will be done. I only want to do His will. ” At this time, our hearts are ready to know the peace of God. Or what Ignatius called “consolation” about decision-making.

The Holy Spirit will speak to us about the heart of Jesus. Learning to stop and discern God’s will for action should be part of the Spirit-led leader’s toolkit and the Christian’s toolkit (Romans 8:14). Truth is not easily found in the world. Lies and personal preferences are very interesting there. . The Holy Spirit impresses us with truth. For the purpose of revealing Jesus to the world

Christ’s intimacy with the Holy Spirit was seen at the beginning of his public ministry on the banks of the Jordan River. Here the Holy Spirit descended upon him in the form of a dove:

The Holy Spirit As Guide, Preacher, And Indwelling In The Book Of Acts

The experience of God’s Spirit is an inner guide, not an original experience of Jesus. This is also experienced in the Old Testament, for example the prophet Isaiah. Accepting the guidance of this spirit as he remembered the mercy of God,

“Where is the one who put his Holy Spirit on the right hand of Moses who moved his glorious hand and who parted the water before them to make his eternal name. He led them through the deep” (Isaiah 63:11-13).

Other examples of this in the Old Testament show the guidance of the Holy Spirit in Elijah’s message to Ahab when he said “The Spirit of God will lead you to places I do not know” (1 Kings 18:12).
