How To Pray For Deliverance From Evil – Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus to repent of all the sins in my life as well as the lives of my ancestors that may have led to the curse. I repent of all disobedience, rebellion, mistreatment of others, lies, deceit, misuse of your name or slander. I repent of all fornication, lust, incest, fornication, adultery, idolatry, all witchcraft, murder, and any occult intervention.

I break all spoken curses and spells that may have been cast during my lifetime, as well as any curses related to the Ouija board, psychics, tarot cards, horoscopes, secular music or television, movies or pornography.

Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Now I am a child of God and through my Lord Jesus I can overthrow all demonic powers and spirits that are against me or in my family’s life.

I am not cursed but blessed! I’m happy to go in and I’m happy to go out. I am above, not below. I am the head, not the tail. I am blessed, and what God has blessed cannot be cursed. I am free and I am saved. Now I have shown my faith and know that confession is salvation (Romans 10:9, 10). Dear Lord, I come to You in deep love and concern for my loved ones. As you know, it’s hard for me to watch them go through this. It is even more difficult to control your thoughts and emotions. Sometimes when I’m in prayer, all these things get stirred up and it’s hard for me to focus and hear Your voice. Now, when I go to pray with You, I ask that You settle all these things in me. The need for peace of mind today in 2021 – control over the Spirit and the Word of God. We looked at the path and saw him there. A young man lying on the ground thrashes back and forth. His body went out of control with some kind of convulsion. Was it epilepsy? A demonic manifestation? What happend? What should we do? Jesus told his followers to cast out evil spirits. Was it needed here?
In this case it was. Placing our hands gently on him, we commanded the demon to leave. When we prayed in Jesus’ name, he calmed down. His eyes focused and he looked at us. We told him and his relatives that Jesus Christ had set him free and invited him to learn more.

As disciples reaching out to the unreached, we must embrace the ministry of liberation. It is a normal part of student life. In the Gospels we see that Jesus’ followers regularly practiced this ministry. In Luke 9, when Jesus sent out the twelve, he gave them authority to cast out evil spirits and to heal the sick. These two things often go together.

A DMM practitioner led a workshop in East Africa. They trained Discovery Bible Study (DBS) trainers and leaders. During training, they were divided into groups to practice DBS.

The young lady who came to church that day. She wanted to attend the training. Everyone knew she was a doctor. Although she was not yet a believer, the leaders encouraged her to participate in Bible studies.
She joined the group. During member care (see the three-part meeting blog for more on this), she shared her problem. At night the evil spirits came and beat him. She wanted freedom and help.
The leader of the discovery group talked about how the Lord could deliver him. After the meeting, some coaches and a local pastor went to her home.
She showed them the items used for spells. As they talked to her more about the freedom that Christ can give, she decided to dedicate her life completely to the Lord. Together they burned her witch tools. They prayed that God would cleanse her life, her home, and release His peace and freedom.
