I Want To Feel Good – I wish life was happy 100% of the time. Unfortunately, life is not always fun. But does that mean it has to be bad? Of course not! You
I hate feeling bad; I know it’s a part of life, and there’s no escaping it. But many people seem to feel sad for no reason, or stay sad.
I Want To Feel Good
Maybe someone annoys you. Or you make a mistake and blame yourself. We let things get to us, even though we know that there is often no reason to get angry.

But we do. There’s no shame in feeling down, but you don’t have to be down. I find it unacceptable to be in a bad mood for more than 5 minutes.
When it comes to feeling good, I’m a firm believer that it’s something you have to generate from within. Many of us only react to external events.
We think that being in a good mood is something that is determined by other people, the weather, our job, our bank account, or something else that we don’t completely control.
Decided to leave something. This means that you can also decide to do something that cheers you up.

Being alive requires hard work. Just think about everything you do between waking up and going to bed. It is not a joke.
And your body is working hard too, 24 hours a day. Even when you sleep, your body is working hard to recover.
It’s not worth a compliment, I honestly don’t know what it is. Look in the mirror and say: Good job being alive.
Just open YouTube and watch something fun. I like comedians like Hannibal Buress, Ricky Gervais, Sarah Silverman, Louis C.K., Jamie Foxx. I also enjoy watching random scenes from The Office and It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia.

“When you’re sad, remember that you will die, scared and confused, burned or buried, to rot and be forgotten. Hope it helps :) — Ricky Gervais3. 80’s music makes you feel better
This is not scientifically proven, so you’ll just have to trust me. 80’s music always improves your mood, no doubt. I don’t know why, but it does.
Research shows that your mood improves within 5 minutes of moderate exercise. I can’t think of a better natural energizer than exercise.
My favorite method of quickly improving my mood through exercise is to do push-ups. Usually 3 sets of 25 reps do it for me.

After that I feel energized to do anything. If you are a beginner, try to do 3 sets of 10 repetitions. Alternatively, you can take a 20-minute brisk walk.
Do you know people who, no matter what, always find something to complain about? Don’t call them. Some people are always negative.
The good news is that there are also people who are always happy. Call him and ask how he is. Better yet, try to hit them if they are close. I bet they have a good story to share.
If you don’t have happy friends, it’s time to find one. It’s basic behavioral science: we copy the behavior of others.
What Is An Empath And How Do You Know If You Are One?
If you can’t make fun of yourself, you’re taking life too seriously. I do it all the time.
For example, I have the strangest taste in music. One minute I’m listening to Bob Dylan, the next I’m listening to 2Pac. You should check out my Spotify – it looks like a collection of albums by someone with multiple personality disorder.
If you want to learn how to make fun of yourself, study comedians. They constantly make fun of themselves (and others).
I took this idea from Tim Ferriss, and it’s amazing. When I first read it I thought he was weird. But that is exactly the point.
Oprah Winfrey Quote: “if You Want To Feel Good, You Have To Go Out And Do
The idea is basically to lie down in a public place. On a sidewalk, in the library, in a Starbucks, in a bar, or anywhere else people don’t usually go to bed.
If someone asks you what you’re doing, just say, “I felt like laying down for a second.” Tim Ferriss says, “The less you say, the more fun and rewarding it will be.”
I recommend getting laid in public for the first time with a friend, or better yet, with a group of people. It’s cruel.
I don’t care if you are 16 or 66, male or female, anyone can do these things. And if it’s not one of the things above, find something else to lift your mood when you’re feeling down.
How To Feel Better
And if none of this works for you, make sure you’re not a robot by watching The Green Mile. If you’re not feeling the least bit emotional, you’re definitely made of steel. That’s what I told the doctor yesterday when I left my house after dinner, drove to the clinic, and sat in her office. My family doctor is gone, but his colleagues have my file, and you can clearly see where I walked into his office in 2015 with the same symptoms.
Then as now, he was dealing with a bunch of issues out of my control that sent me on a daily spiral of anxiety. I didn’t sleep well, eat well, or feel good at all.
But underneath that, buried just below the obviousness of anxiety, lay depression. The two often work in pairs in my life. The problem is that anxiety is like that.
It’s hard to see anything beyond that. Then, as now, I treated the anxiety. I went to the gym, practiced mindfulness, saw a therapist, talked to friends, cut back on my caffeine (no small feat as a writer, believe me), and whatever else I could do to keep it at bay. Anxiety was the focus.
Sometimes, I Randonly Remember This Moment Because Of How Good It Is.
This time it was also in focus. And again, this time the depression eased. I didn’t see it until I was choking. Last night when I heard about another stressor to add to the pile of stressors, I suddenly realized that I couldn’t do this without help anymore. My mind and body are exhausted. I no longer see the good. I don’t want to be around people most of the time; I’d rather be alone with a good show on TV.
When I saw the doctor, I took a depression test online to show him the results. I made a list of my symptoms and they were crystal clear. This is what depression looks like to me. That’s how it turns out. I still work, but everything is a giant obstacle. I still get through each day, but with great effort. I don’t sit in a corner and cry all the time, but I’m not happy either. Everything is gloomy. Grey.
I took them at 7:30, just before leaving the house to give a talk at a local high school. The school was in the center and I came from the suburbs to the west of the city. As I left, my phone’s GPS told me to arrive at 8:28, 22 minutes before the assembly began. But as I drove, as the traffic kept increasing, my arrival time kept increasing, getting closer and closer to the meeting start time.
I started breaking out in a cold sweat. I didn’t want to be late, let people down. I began to worry about missing out on speaking to hundreds of Year 9 students about being a strong friend to the LGBTQ community. I take talking to young people very seriously, because I know how engaged they are and the impact they have. This group has just started high school and has four years to change and shape the school culture in a more inclusive way before moving on to other places and spaces to do the same. I couldn’t miss this.

In the car this morning, as my arrival time started to creep up, I realized that none of my Amanda calming techniques were working. No deep breaths, no mental analysis, no reminders that the traffic was out of my control or that this wasn’t the end of the world. Nothing. And I consider myself a professional and slow down my role.
“Yeah, obviously nothing works,” I finally said to myself out loud in the car. “You’re depressed. You’re exhausted. You can’t get out of this now. You need to take a break.”
The other day I read something that the amazing Elizabeth Gilbert wrote on Instagram. She talked about her own negative thought processes and how that morning she had tried to use thoughts to control her thoughts and created a giant mess. She then remembered thinking that getting out of there wouldn’t be the answer. She needed to let her heart do the work. In that moment, she simply chose to love herself and let her mind rest.
She loved what she had to say so much that I made an appointment to take it with me,
