If I Confess My Sins Will God Forgive Me

If I Confess My Sins Will God Forgive Me

If I Confess My Sins Will God Forgive Me – “But if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we are innocent, we consider Him a liar. , and his word is not in us” (1 John 1:9-10).

We have all been flawed (Romans 3:23) since Adam and Eve sinned. I know I’m not the only one wondering how God feels when that happens. I’m sure it would be just as hurtful as one would go through when someone close to them turned against them. But all of us can certainly never understand God’s feelings or understand His thoughts. His thoughts are higher than ours, and His ways are as high as the heavens (Is 55:8-9).

If I Confess My Sins Will God Forgive Me

We may all have been fooled into thinking that the sin we’ve committed isn’t so bad because we’ll be forgiven anyway. But the truth that the Bible says is in Hebrews 10:26-27, “For if we sin on purpose, after we have come to know the truth, there is no longer a sin offering, but the dreaded waiting of judgment, and the burning fury that will devour the enemy.”

Confessing Complicity In Systemic Sin

The Bible is filled with wisdom, knowledge, and truth that we should follow. Although we struggle with some sins, we can be sure that if we ask for forgiveness, it will be granted. But our struggle is to give up our fleshly desires and pursue God and His righteousness.

If we are asked to forgive others, why won’t God forgive us? Our minds and our enemies tend to make us think that God “hates us.” In fact, God loves us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to this earth to die for us. He did this so that we might live and be reconciled to Him (John 3-16).

In Isaiah 43:25, God says, “I – yes, I alone – will take away your sins for me and will never remember them again.” So when you confess your sins to God, He will forgive and remember them no more. But be aware, the enemy will try to make you remember these sins, despite the fact that God doesn’t actually do so.

Who is a god like you, who casts out wickedness and spares rebellion for the rest of his inheritance? He doesn’t hold onto his anger forever because he loves loyal love. He will have mercy on us again; He will defeat our wickedness. You will throw all our sins to the bottom of the deep sea. You will show loyalty to Jacob and faithful love to Abraham, as you swore to our ancestors long ago.

Why We Sometimes Don’t Feel Forgiven

Have you ever been in a situation where you felt that the person who did wrong to you never deserved forgiveness? Whatever this person has done, it could have changed your life or the life of someone you know. But also, are you compassionate and loving to this person even if you think they don’t deserve your forgiveness?

Matthew 6:14-15 says, “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, Neither will your father forgive you your sins.”

It’s easy to believe lies that you will never be forgiven for. In my life, I have been through situations where I asked for forgiveness and did not receive it from others. We all have that. But in one particular relationship in my past, I said the word “I’m sorry” too many times to count.

If I Confess My Sins Will God Forgive Me

Most of the time I don’t know why I said those words. I know I fear that the relationship will break and this person will leave me. But then, when God found me after that relationship, it became clear to me that I thought I was always wrong, even though I wasn’t.

Why Do We Confess Our Sin, Not Sins, In Communion?

So when you ask God’s forgiveness, ask first and then repent (turn away). So believe that God has forgiven you without a doubt. Doubt comes from the enemy and his job is to make you believe the opposite of what God has told you.

If you have any reason to doubt, look to God’s word for God’s word is truth (John 17:17) and the enemy is all lies (John 8:44). Therefore, we have been redeemed through the sacrifice of Christ. We can keep this in mind whenever doubt says otherwise.

We are redeemed in him by his blood, forgiven of our transgressions, according to the riches of his grace, which he has given us with all wisdom and understanding. He tells us the mystery of His will, according to His good will, which He has planned in Him to administer the consummation days – to bring together all things in the Messiah, both all things in heaven and all things on earth in Him

Forgiveness is a wonderful experience when it happens, but it is a fleeting experience for many people. We don’t really know how to forgive, and we’re never really sure we’ve been forgiven because there’s something very vague about forgiveness. However, there is an image from when that word appears a lot in the New Testament. One of the more used words that is not a word that also means untied a knot. So you think what if you had a knot in your shoes before. It’s not as common today as it used to be, but when there’s a knot in it, I’ll call it a Christmas light. I don’t know about you, but there’s such a sense of accomplishment when you finally fix something or throw it away. Alright. Maybe not the best example, but you still have a knot. You work hard on this knot and then you finally untie it. And when you regret it, there’s actually a very high chance that you’ll never be able to tie that knot again, in the same spot. The knot is over and cannot be redone. And that is forgiveness, untying. And interestingly, if I forgive you, I will loosen a knot in me. It’s not that I’m untying the knot in you. I untied the knot in me. So the act of the forgiver actually loosens a knot in itself. And then there’s the act of receiving it from the forgiven, having the feeling that you’re free. I think of the three Hebrew boys that went into the fiery furnace, and the king looked in and said, “Oh, there’s a fourth man. And he’s equal to the Son of God.” And they went out, and the Bible said there wasn’t a hair on their body. That is quite impressive. They couldn’t even smell the smoke, but the things they bound were destroyed. And then forgiveness can be messy. It can be painful. It could be work related. Undoing those knots can be difficult, but it sets you free as the forgiver, and the one being forgiven loses those chains. How do we go there? Depends on your level of faith. I could hear the disciples say, “Lord, we believe. Help us in our unbelief.” It is a journey for us to truly accept what God says. “Here’s yours to take if you want them. Really, you paid for this. It’s yours to take.” So know that you are forgiven if you are in Christ. And if you have a grudge against a brother or sister, untie that knot and walk in the freedom God calls you to live.

Will God Forgive Us Of Repetative Sins?

Father, thank you for this time and today. Thank God for giving us life through Jesus Christ. Father, I pray that everyone reading this will be filled with your truth. I pray that Your Truth will overcome any lie that has been led to believe the opposite of Your Holy Word. Lord have mercy on me a sinner. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

And work to become the person God called her to be. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and hopes to one day pursue a degree in Bible counseling. Rebecca loves being in nature, especially in the spring, and she loves to travel. She has a loving family and hopes to one day have children of her own. God’s love is amazing! His forgiveness is endless. Just read the history of the Israelites and you will see a pattern of rebellion, oppression, and repentance. Again and again they blew it. And many times God forgave and saved them. It can make you wonder what’s wrong with these people until you reflect on your own life and recognize the same pattern.
