Once upon a time there was a man who was looking for a perfect house in the mountains. He saw many houses but he could not find one home. One day, his real estate agent drove down a long, windy road full of potholes and weeds toward a house on a rock at the top of the mountain.

When they reached the house, the man stopped and looked at the structure sadly. It was a very old building, unpainted and long abandoned. The shutters were falling off and the front porch was rotting. And once the beautiful front door was broken. The man tried to walk back, but the house was built right on the edge of the cliff. There was no way to enter the house except through the broken front door.
The Truth About
As the man climbed the rotting stairs to the front door, he began to wonder why the real estate agent had brought him to such a strange house. He walked up to the door and opened it just enough to enter the abandoned house. As the door opened, the man could see streaks and dirt in the foul air of years of abandonment.
Finally, as the man walked all the way into the house, he began to see a bright light coming from behind the house. He walked forward through the dusty air towards a majestic door made of mahogany and leaded glass. Through the cut glass, the light shone and shone throughout the old house.
The man wanted to see more of the light. He opened the beautiful door and stepped out onto a well-maintained porch with fresh paint and attractive rocking chairs. The scene that had been hidden in front of the house was now presented wonderfully in front of him. Looking over the valley, the horizon stretches to eternity. Follow the river below to a stunning waterfall. Birds would chirp on the heights, and the man could hear children laughing and the church bells ringing. It was as if man was looking over all of creation. Of course the man told the manager that he would buy the house.
Many years have passed. Attracted by the beauty of the light from the back door and the brilliant view from the back porch, the man began to make this house his home. He painted, repaired, and arranged his home so that a guest could enjoy the view from the back of the house and experience the same light and beauty that he first saw many years ago. .

But the man forgot one thing: the front of the house. The guests would drive up the old weed covered road. The front porch still looked rotten outside and the front door was still broken. The man did not take time to repair the front of his house because he knew that what was inside his house was more important than the front of his house. And every time a guest came to visit him, he felt a little pain because his guests had to go through the broken old door to enter his beautiful house . Now it was time to work on the broken front door.
We are the broken door! We need to fix. Maybe our door just needs oiled hinges. It may be necessary to plan the opening now that the house has been established over the years. There may be rotten spots that need putty, sanding and refinishing. Whatever it needs, it can be opened even in a broken state.
The interior of the house is our heart, soul and spirit. These are the areas we need to fix first to make them attractive to our guests.
Our guests are people we meet every day. Everyone we meet in every environment where we live, at home, at work, and in our community can see by our actions and by our words what is in our hearts.
Thankful Bible Verses For Giving Gratitude To God
This beautiful, beautiful and perfect back door is our Savior Jesus Christ. And the view from the back porch is God’s view. The only way we can reach God is through the door of Jesus Christ.
The glorious view is completely hidden unless one enters through the broken front door. Even if our door is rusted, rotted and not square, people can still come into our home and know Christ in us. Upon entering, our guests will experience warmth and love within. They will quickly see that you have placed everything in your home around the light of Jesus Christ, and that Jesus is God’s door.
Now comes the challenging part. We cannot, must not, wait until the door is perfect before we invite others into our lives to meet Jesus who lives within. It is true that we need to work on our doors. The decay and decay of the door is the sin in our lives. The rain of selfishness, the wind of the world’s worries will always knock at our door. But if we wait for perfection, we are denying others the opportunity to meet Jesus. And it is through Jesus that we bring others to God. Jesus calls us as we break to be the door that others can enter to meet him. We know the power of being grateful, but sometimes it’s hard to remember to say thank you. It can be easier to take what life (and God) gives you each day if you read the Bible verse about gratitude. We are so wrapped up in our lives—problems, challenges, struggles and all—that it’s easy to get lost in a sea of guilt if you’re in a negative space. Or, if you are in a good place, you may still forget to thank God because you are too busy enjoying life. But it’s important to remember to be grateful for our health, our well-being, gifts (material and not), and everything else in between.
For people of faith including Christians, positive blessings come from God. His love, presence, encouragement, and influence are the reason we are what we are. To honor what he has given us, we can pray every day. If you need a reminder or encouragement to give thanks to the Lord, these Bible verses about gratitude can strengthen your faith. Whether you hit every bump in the road today or had a great day full of blessings, make sure you take time to pray before bed and thank Him for His love and blessings.
