Well, the movie opens with a sequence at the airport where 4 useless idiots decide to tell a story to a willing company. The story of Musa aka Jaisingh Rathore and Myo aka Aditi Mahant. Jai and Aditi are best friends, they can’t live without each other. (Remember Rahul and Anjali from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai?) They sing together, they dance together, they go to college together, they eat together, they sleep together… no mistake, not together. They talk about everything but don’t like each other. Because Jai is a completely spoiled Rajput, in another sense. He is very sweet, well behaved and a mother’s son-in-law unlike the rude and macho Rajputs. But Aditi has no feminine characteristics. She believes in extremes, extreme love, extreme emotions, extreme anger… blah blah! Jai thinks he should date a very homely girl while Aditi wants to marry a man.

So this is the plot of the movie. Nothing fancy, but well presented. Now enter Meghana, Jai’s new love or what he thinks of as love. Meghna brings a lot of freshness to Jai’s life (and dullness in the film. Manjeri Padnis is miserable) as he breaks out of Aditi’s embrace and seeks a new direction and a new friend. Aditi doesn’t complain, but the madness is evident in her behavior. He doesn’t like Jai hooking up with his girlfriend so to speak. So what happens now? Enter another character, Sushant Modi, Aditi’s ultimate macho man. Aditi gets close to him, but never really close. It’s still enough for Jay to realize what he did wrong. Aditi’s engagement to Sushant tears Jai apart. Say life can’t wait, and move on. It should have been like that in reality. But it’s a Bollywood movie. So another (small) twist. Our macho Sushant is not exactly gentle and respectful. His list of ex-girlfriends is taller than his height. An ‘I’m the boss’ kind of guy, he doesn’t get along with everyone. And then after a few more silly things, the story ends on a happy note, usually Bollywood style. Of course I’m not stupid enough to tell you how.

Overall the film has a very youthful look and feel. Among the group of 6 goofy friends, there are other characters like Aditi’s ultra-cool parents, Jay’s mother and a tough but very proud father of Shasha (played well by Ratan Pathak Shah and Nariruddin Shah), Paresh Rawal as Inspector Waghmare. , Arbaaz and Sohail Khan in cameo roles that add pizzazz to an otherwise routine film. The humor is well directed, although there are no memorable lines that you would normally expect from Abbas Tyrwala (the director). Imran Khan is very cute (legacy of his uncle Aamir Khan) but needs some more acting lessons. He reminds me of Suchana Thamma Abhay Deol. Genelia, who has spent many years in Telugu films, is very sweet until she opens her mouth. Others, especially Prateek Babbar as Aditi’s brother, supported the film well. Of course, last but not least, AR music. Rahman is also very good. It’s refreshingly different from its usual genre.

Aditi Mahant came as a successful actress for Genelia in this movie. Her role was highly appreciated for her sweetness and freshness and her new acting style. Aditi was an aggressive and impulsive girl for whom Jai (Imran Khan) was everything. Aditi was loud, didn’t take crap from people and wasn’t afraid of someone hurting her.
