The second studio album by American singer Lady Gaga, released in May 2011, is called “Born This Way”. A continuation of the synth pop and dance pop of her first album, the album was a huge success. It sold more than one million copies in its first week, breaking a five-year record for the highest first-week album sales. . In addition, approximately 440,000 copies were sold at 99 cents each in the first two days of its release on Amazon. The album has since sold six million copies and was named the world’s third best-selling album of 2011 by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry.

A special edition cover was also released, featuring only Gaga’s head on the regular edition cover, with the artist’s name and album title appearing in the upper left corner of the cover. There’s no telling if a fancy album cover will increase sales, assuming the content is of good quality.
