Here is another American who has no problem “understanding English”. I’m not sure what the other commenter understood. Anyway, LOTR audiobooks have been a great companion during the COVID quarantine. Honestly I wish they were longer. I hope to find more books narrated by Rob Inglis.
As an American, I have thoroughly enjoyed all of Rob Inglis’ books I have read. It has great tone, tempo, intonation, and a soft accent, so it sets the bar pretty high for audiobooks.
Yiwuaussie, why can’t Americans “understand this English”? Pretty funny for an Australian when 90% of the country is filled with illiterate bogans who completely destroyed the King’s English.
I doubt many Americans can understand this English, but as an older Australian this is quite adventurous. Our family enjoyed reading all 3 books. TELEVISION? What is this again?
