
Nicki Minaj Drake And Lil Wayne – Drake, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne performed in Toronto last night (August 6) for their Young Money reunion, belting out a litany of their hits to an estimated 16,000 fans.
The show, which was announced less than a month ago, completed a trilogy of shows that Drake hosted on his “October World Weekend,” a concert series that the rapper said precedes the global expansion of his OVO Fest music festival. It was originally set to drop on Monday (August 1), but was pushed back five days after Drake tested positive for COVID-19.

The show itself started later than planned. At the start, a message appeared on the screens flashing across the stage: “Unfortunately, Lil Wayne has had problems at the border. Fortunately, Drake is leading the charge.”

At one point in the show, Drake gave a heartfelt shout-out to both of his co-stars: “I’m standing on stage with the greatest rapper of all time,” he said, pointing to Lil Wayne. “And I’m standing on stage with the second biggest female rapper of all time, she’s there with pink hair. By the way, are these morons serious? Nobody can mess with Nicki… [She’s] like the originator—this is where it starts, this is where it ends, all that shit.”
Towards the end of the show, Lil Wayne formally announced that his upcoming 15th studio album would be ‘Tha Carter VI’, sharing his logo on the main screen behind the stage. However, the release date is not yet confirmed.

“Seeing Green” is the trio’s first collaboration since the 2017 single “No Frauds” from the 2009 Young Money compilation album.
