Sermon On Armor Of God

Sermon On Armor Of God

Sermon On Armor Of God – We begin our journey first by girding on the whole armor of God, girding the truth around the waist. This is done so as not to deviate from our North Star; Keeping the path because it is determined by God and the truth that is not our wishes or our last feelings, but He and He alone provides our focus, our direction, our purpose, our hope, our strength. It keeps us on our toes because when war is around us, we know what to do and the consequences of our war. The truth sets us free to live joyfully because God has revealed who He is and what He has done and will do! So as we move on to the next section, let’s look at the context of the whole section. Follow along as I read…

We are faced with the act of “putting on” which we see again in verse 11, where we are told to put on the whole armor of God. Now in verse 14, we are told to put on a special garment, the breastplate of righteousness. “To put on,” according to the note, simply means “to put something on, put on, put on, put on.” [1] The point is to make all the weapons of God a part. Similarly, many like clothes. The things of God are part of who you are, wrapped up in character and what you have done. This could not be a better description of this particular armor. We need to incorporate authenticity and make it part of who we are that sounds, smells, tastes (if you will) like God.

To fully understand the breastplate of righteousness, we must go back in time in the Bible to see it appear in Isaiah 59:17. He said, “He [God] is clothed with the breastplate of righteousness, and upon his head the helmet of salvation, the garment of vengeance for a garment, and his soul as a garment.” God had adorned Paul with a breastplate of righteousness before he wrote these words. God wore it first, and now it is for us to put it on. In Isaiah, God wears this garment to defend his people and repel their enemies. He upholds righteousness and drives out his enemies.

Food For Thought (the Armor Of God)

Well, let’s get to the truth first. It has two main uses in the NT. At the simplest level, truth is right, has a right nature or state, right 1) behaves and most importantly, 2) stands before God.

If we look at the use of authenticity on the iPhone. We may know what Paul is talking about here. Righteousness is used four times in Ephesians:

4:24, and put on a new body, created in the image of God in righteousness and holiness.

5:9, Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is in all things that are good, true, and right)

Ready For Battle: The Armor Of God, Part 1

As with last week’s truth, there are two very important truths that Paul reminds us of here.

, we must use the righteousness that is guaranteed in Christ (judicial righteousness). To be more precise, “God’s gracious initiative to reconcile sinners to himself through Christ.” [3] This is what Paul writes about all this; An act of God’s grace to save sinners through Christ! Listen to Chapter 2:

And you are dead in your past trespasses and sins, following the ways of this world, following the ruler of heaven, which is the spirit that now works in the wicked, which was once among us. Living in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the body and mind, and are naturally children of wrath like other men. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love, if we were dead in our trespasses, he made us alive together with Christ, because of his mercy you have been saved, and He made it alive. We sat together with him. We are with him in heaven in Christ Jesus, that in the time to come he may show the riches of his mercy which cannot be measured in his mercy to us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And it is not your doing; It is a gift from God.

There is no greater protection than a right relationship with God. To repent on the cross through faith and repentance by his grace, use the righteousness that is not yours, but the will of Christ, to stand before God, not condemned, but Accepted ———— —————— Bad. As Romans 8 reminds us, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus…who can argue with God’s elect? Us.” It is Christians, we, guaranteed a right relationship with God through Christ; It is a strong chest that protects us from attacks.

Seven brothers and sisters, Paul has this in mind and wants us to remind ourselves daily how to humble ourselves before God, by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone! Let me be clear, there is no other way. Not our nation, not our good behavior, not our opinion, not the state of the union, not the size of your bank account, not our appearance, not who knows, no!

Use words in the play that build on this great truth. When we think about righteousness, we must consider that we are righteous before God in order to live honestly before others. So the strong sense here is to live a righteous life (moral righteousness). I can say this because of the previous use of righteousness in Ephesians, and considering the helmet of salvation, which is the name of our salvation, perhaps the innovation here is to develop the ability to do what is God has told us. A fresh reminder every day that our honesty is guaranteed so that we can go and be honest! We can do it, we can live it right, we can do it…do you hear me, we can do it!

Paul says here that our defense is an honest life. He points out that the righteousness with which we speak publicly through Christ must be the same as we do in the absence of others. If not, we are in danger! So if we do not practice daily honesty, we are open to great attacks. If you use others to get right with God, you are open to serious harm.

If you make your own soapbox issues before the righteousness of Christ, you will be open to attack and be more interested in those issues than the Kingdom of God.

The Armour Of God

If you behave well for God’s sake, you are open to attack. The enemy will be open and penetrating and will give you that sinking feeling of “Have I done enough!”

If you use forgiveness instead of the righteousness of Christ that is revealed in grace, you will be open to the attacks of the enemy and become a bitter person who begins to hate those around you.

The breastplate covers vital organs to prevent attacks that could render us useless for combat. We will be useless for a while if we let our guard down and think we can do whatever we want. The righteousness of Christ is given to us so that we can go and live righteously!

Sermon On Armor Of God

How is this armor made? Well, you are finally very safe guaranteed in the righteousness of Christ, which is the greatest truth we have, declared true by God through Jesus. But this truth must and must affect our lives. We will stand firm when we wear righteousness because we will resist temptation. Temptations are coming, but you must win! The final decision has been announced, we have the right to live. The battle is over, the enemy is helpless!

Ep. 18 [pt. 1/6]the Full Armor Of God: Introduction

It’s like the last scene in the movie when the enemy is defeated, and they raise their hands one last time to use their power only to find that they don’t have it, they’re defeated!

Let us not forget in our small pursuits, but let us pursue holiness with great passion and energy, let our truth be manifested and felt in our path.
