Because He is a God of details, He not only wants you to obey Him, He is also interested in the details of how you obey. God wants you to obey Him in the right way and for the right reasons.
An example of this can be found in the Bible. A man named Naaman was suffering from leprosy. He went to the prophet Elisha and asked what should be done.
Naaman was humiliated. He expected miraculous healing from the prophet—not strange, condescending instructions. But his servants spoke to him to follow God’s exact instructions, although he did not understand them.
“Then he went down and dipped himself seven times in the Jordan, as the man of God had told him, and his flesh was restored and purified as a young boy.”
Obedience Is Better Than Sacrifice (1 Samuel 15:22 23)
Did you think water had special powers? Not allowed. Naaman was healed because of his obedience. He was sure. He obeyed God completely.
When you obey God completely, you show that you love and trust Him. When you love someone, you often do what they want you to do just because you love them. And when you trust someone, you do what they want because you believe they know best. So when you love and trust God, you do things the way He wants them done. You obey them completely. The theme for the month of May is the wonderful covenant that God revealed through His messenger. I hear plenty of rain for someone here today, but it’s a condition, if the fellow wants to trust and obey God. By the special grace of God, we have been blessed with the message we have heard in the last 2 weeks “God is not a man to lie” and “Make a covenant with God”.
In form, a contract is “an agreement between two parties and contains a promise on behalf of the other”. The idea of a covenant between God and His people is one of the central themes of the Bible. Biblically, a covenant means much more than an agreement or a simple agreement between two parties.
The word “covenant” in the Old Testament also provides further insight into the meaning of the key idea. It is derived from a Hebrew root meaning ‘to cut’. This describes the strange practice of two men passing through the mutilated carcasses of slain animals after making a covenant (Jeremiah 34:18).
How To Hear And Obey God’s Instructions (genesis 26)
This type of ceremony always accompanies the making of covenants in the Old Testament. Sometimes those who make a covenant share a meal, as when Laban and Jacob made their covenant (Genesis 31:54).
Abraham and his descendants were commanded to be circumcised as a sign of a covenant between them and God. (Genesis 17:10-11)
On Mount Sinai, Moses sprinkled the blood of the animals on the altar and on the people who made a vow to God (Exodus 24:3-8).
The Old Testament contains many examples of covenants between people who are equal. For example, David and Jonathan made a covenant because of their love for each other, this covenant gave each of them certain obligations (1 Sam. 18:3). That’s why David said in Proverbs. 18:24 “He is a friend who stands closer than a brother.”
Trust, Obey And Wait
The remarkable thing is that God is holy, all-knowing and all-powerful, but he is willing to make a covenant with man who is weak, sinful and flawed.
Our God is a covenant to keep God, he is always faithful, (2 Tim. 2: 13 GNT says ‘If we are not faithful, then he is faithful, for he cannot lie to himself’) Because he is not a person. He should not lie because he is the son of man, so he should repent.
When he was going to bless Abraham Genesis 22:16 he found nothing else to swear by but himself, for he is most high and cannot deny himself. In Hebrews 6:13, the apostle Paul said, “Since there is no other oath greater than God, he swore by himself to bless Abraham with a blessing and to bless him and all nations with his descendants.” born The land is blessed because it obeyed the voice of God.
God does not break promises, it is us humans who often break promises. Indeed, God hates to lay aside in the form of marriage, Mil. 2:16 (For to God marriage is a covenant between a man, a woman and God. The Bible helps us understand that God will judge those who break the covenant. God will help us in Jesus name.
Oaths And Righteousness
Remember that it is the Lord your God who gives you the power to become rich. He does this because He is faithful today to the covenants He made with your fathers.
Never forget the Lord your God or turn to other gods to worship and serve. If you do this, I warn you today that you will surely perish. If you do not obey the Lord, then you will be destroyed like the nations he is going to destroy when you go.
This will not be our portion in Jesus name, for we will always trust and obey God.
Brothers and sisters, trusting and obeying God is the key to receiving His promises. We give God our way.
Exodus 20:8 Sermon

The new covenant accomplishes what the old covenant could not, which is to put an end to sin and cleanse the conscience. The New Covenant of Jesus Christ was invented for all mankind, regardless of race.
When God’s Instructions Don’t Make Sense, Obey Anyway
