This Is The Gift Of God
Paul is comparing two things here. I deserve what God gives me. What I deserve is death for my sins. There is nothing that can atone for my sins. I can do nothing to be saved.
Grace Is The Gift Of God
But the good news is that God is giving me a gift. The gift of eternal life in Jesus Christ. This gift is not something I can earn. If it was, it wouldn’t be a gift. Instead, it extends to fallen humanity through God’s grace. In Ephesians 2:8, Paul again talks about this gift of God. In that passage he refers to the gift as salvation, and the gift as an act of grace. It is something He freely gives us.
This gift is given to all who believe. The passage in Ephesians shows faith as the means of receiving God’s gift. Romans 3:22 also points to faith and belief as the means of receiving God’s righteousness. Paul to the Philippian prison:
This gift is eternal life in Jesus Christ. I think we often misread this expression and think it is simply saying that God’s gift is eternal life. But it is more than eternal life. It is eternal life in Christ. This is a love and personal relationship with my Savior and Redeemer. A relationship that never ends or ages. This is my current relationship, not something I have to wait for in the next era. John 17:3 refers to eternal life as knowing God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ.

The Gift Too Wonderful For Words
Some Christmas gifts are easy to give. We buy them. It is impossible to give other gifts because we cannot buy or create them. Salvation is a gift that we cannot give to ourselves or to one another. God saw our need and powerfully “lifted up for us the horn of salvation.” This is the second “gospel gift”: God has the power to give us the gift we need! ~ What gifts do you want to give (or get) this Christmas? Are these easy, difficult, or possible? What is salvation?
The phrase “horn of salvation” in our verse is strange to us, but in biblical times the horn was a symbol of power. Sin takes us captive and demands a ransom we cannot pay. Sin is strong, God is almighty. With His mighty power He paid the debt we couldn’t pay to free us from the power of sin! With Him nothing is impossible (Luke 1:37), and this is the gospel of the “gift of the gospel.” ~ What sins have seized you? Can you save yourself from this? Can God set you free? Why?
Colossians tells us what God’s mighty power does in our lives: “When you were dead in your sins… God raised you up with Christ. He has forgiven all our sins and canceled our legal debt. He crucified us and took us away” (2:13-14). We may not like to think of sin and brokenness at Christmas, but God’s power to deliver us from these is the good news of Christmas. . How does sin affect our lives? What has God’s power done for us?
The apostle Paul answered: “I became a servant of this gospel by the grace of God with his power” (Ephesians 3:7). We can respond like “the gift of the Bible.” Because God has given us His powerful gift, we have the power to give Him our lives and serve Him with prayerful hearts. This is the ultimate way to say “thank you” to God! ~ What power can you give to God? How can you serve and pray to God this week?

Lord God, nothing is too difficult for you! (Jeremiah 32:17). Your kingdom and your power! Thank you for using your mighty power to deliver us from the power of sin. Live your freedom! Amen in Jesus name! Christmas is a popular holiday celebrated by exchanging gifts with friends and relatives. You may already know that Christmas is the holiday that celebrates the virgin birth of Jesus Christ. You may not know that people start exchanging gifts during the Christmas season to celebrate God’s wonderful gift to all mankind. Have you received a gift from God?

A gift is something that someone buys and is not tied to you. The value of a gift is limited by the wealth of the recipient. God Almighty has unlimited resources. Imagine how much the gift she bought for you was worth!
The Gift Of God Is Eternal Life Romans 6:23
God wants you to spend eternity with him in heaven. Heaven is a true place without sorrow, pain, or death, where we can live in eternal fellowship with God and each other.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to earth to save sinners. He died on the cross to pay for sin. He rose again three days after his burial. His resurrection proves that he is the savior sent by God, who is able to forgive your sins and give you eternal life.

Belief in death, burial, and resurrection is God’s plan of salvation. God gives the gift of eternal life. It cannot be achieved by good works or honest efforts. This is a gift given to those who believe in Jesus Christ.
Eternal Life Is A Free Gift Of God Through Jesus Christ!
The gift is freely offered and can be accepted or rejected. God will not give you eternal life. In fact, God promises that if you reject His Son and His gift of life, you will receive what your sins deserve. Sin calls for judgment by eternal separation from God in hellfire, but God loves you and wants you to go to heaven. The choice is yours.
“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life. Whoever does not believe in the Son will not see life. But God’s wrath remained on him. John 3:36
I doubt you would knowingly leave an unopened gift under the Christmas tree. How foolish is it to knowingly reject God’s gift of eternal life? Are you ready to change your mind, confess Jesus Christ as the Son of God who died on the cross for you, and ask Him for salvation?
If you believe in your heart that Jesus is the Son of God and the Savior of the world, pray the following prayers with all your heart and ask God to forgive you for Jesus. He hears your prayers and sees your faith. You can be sure you will go to heaven when you die!
