Life is unpredictable. Even with the best plans and intentions, no one can predict with certainty what will happen to them in life.
Unique Ways Obedience To God Will Change Your Life
In December 2019, no one was planning a New Year’s resolution with COVID-19 in mind. Most of us have never heard of it. Life threw a big curveball.
When unexpected times come, everyone needs to be reminded that God is good, in control, and trustworthy, even when things seem out of control. Below is a list of 21 reminders of this truth.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5–6, New International Version)
This is one of the most comforting verses to cling to when you are facing uncertainty or problems in your life. Your situation or the situation around you may be beyond your understanding, but it is not beyond God’s understanding.
Obedience Is The Key That Unlocks God’s Promises
God knows what is happening – everything how, when and why. When you don’t know what to do or what’s going to happen next, trust that He knows. Follow God’s directions and commands, knowing that as you practice obedience, He will take care of the rest. “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him and He helps me. My heart will leap for joy, and I will praise him with my song” (Psalm 28:7).
God sees everything that happens to you. He knows everything He has protected you from. It is your source of protection. You don’t have to give in to fear. It is not easy, but you are free to rejoice and praise Him with gratitude for this truth, even when things are difficult.
Jesus never changes. Neither His power nor His promise. He was with God at the beginning of time. It is the same Christ who transformed lives today and performed miracles in the Bible. You can trust Him because the promises He made to His people throughout the Bible are the same promises He makes to you today.
He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, he hopes in the Lord. (Psalm 112:7, ESV)
Reasons Why We Should All Obey God
The writer of this psalm is saying that the confidence of people who follow God is based on God’s character, not on the circumstances that He allows them to experience.
When you fear the unknown in your life, you can look to Him who is all powerful and knows all things. God never worries. He can give you the strength and stability to face whatever lies ahead when your faith is in Him.
Didn’t I command you? Be strong and brave. Do not fear or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9, ESV)
This verse appears at a significant moment in the history of God’s people. After spending 40 years living in the wilderness, they are about to enter the land that God promised them, but they expect to face a fierce battle for that land.
Bible Verses On Obedience To God
God is always with you no matter what you face. He does not command you to be bold in your own strength. Take courage in knowing His presence and power with you.
You may not understand the difficult or uncertain situation you are in, but God does. His records in your life and in the Bible are faithful. As long as you give Him your life, you can be sure that He will keep His end of the bargain. God cannot lie, so when He says He will work for you, you can trust Him.
“Fear not, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10).
God is with you and is able to give you strength no matter what you are going through. It does not promise that you will not face problems or fear. He promises that he is there and able to get you through it.
Ephesians 6:1 Web Mobile Phone Wallpaper
For the word of the Lord is right and true; He is faithful in everything he does. (Psalm 33:4, NIV)
The Bible tells of times throughout history when God has shown himself to be loving and trustworthy. He will never fail even in your suffering. You can put your trust in His promise because He has succeeded and kept His word in everything He has ever set out to do.
A shepherd leads and cares for the sheep in his charge. Jesus, the Son of God, is the Good Shepherd and His followers are His sheep. There is only one God of the universe who created you, knows what you need, and calls you His own.
Jesus is the good shepherd. It is 100% trustworthy. He always knows what’s best for you, even if it’s not easy. In order to follow Him, you must know Him and listen to Him. As you get to know Him through prayer, reading the Bible, and fellowship with other followers of Jesus, you will be able to distinguish His good voice from other voices.
Obedience, The Key To God’s Blessings
We know that God works in all things for the good of those who love him and who have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28, NIV)
God cares about your life and has a plan for it. His will is for you to know Him through your relationship with Jesus and to love Him and others as you become more like Jesus. He promises that no matter how wonderful or terrible things come your way, He will work them all out to make you more like Christ and solidify your place in His kingdom. He can restore everything broken. He always works for those who love Him.
“Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor store in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you much more valuable than them? Can any of you by worrying add a single hour to his life?” (Matthew 6:26-27, NIV)
God cares for his creation. He takes care of animals and plants (see v. 30), but this verse tells us that he is primarily concerned with providing us with what we need. Taking care of your needs is not the answer to fulfilling them. Trusting God to take care of the details of your life is the better strategy.

Believe in Him under all circumstances, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. (Psalm 62:8, NIV)
A refuge is a safe place to run to – a place of safety in the midst of chaos. God says you can trust Him and put everything in His hands because He is powerful, reliable and constant. You can run to Him for safety and protection instead of running to things or other people. It will never let you down.
If you know God personally, no worldly harm you can suffer can prevent you from entering safely into His arms in His kingdom.
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Do you believe in God; believe also in me.” (John 14:1, NIV)
Ways To Change Your Heart
Jesus said this to his followers right after he told them something unexpected. They were unprepared and worried. But Jesus reminded them who he is. He reminded them and encouraged them that their hearts need not be anxious or troubled because they could believe in Him and His promises just as they believed in God’s.
Nothing he said ever failed them. He is God in the flesh. Everything he does comes directly from God. He proved his trustworthiness by the testimony of his life and the testimony of his Father.
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that when we ask something according to His will, He hears us. (1 John 5:14, NIV)
Trusting in God will increase your confidence in drawing closer to Him. He was always faithful. This verse is followed by an assurance that if you believe what God says is true, you trust it
