Have you ever wondered about the relationship between faith and obedience? When you trust someone, you do what they say. If you don’t do what someone says, it means you don’t trust them.
In the Bible, God repeatedly links faith and obedience. God’s promises are conditional on you following His instructions.
Bible Verses On Salvation — Bible Lyfe
God has made wonderful, clear promises about obedience in His Word. In fact, there are so many promises that I can’t list them all here. But here are a few:
“Those who obey him have good things… Those who obey the Lord have nothing good.”
This is a wonderful list of promises. If you follow God’s instructions, you will be blessed, saved, controlled, cared for, given what you ask for, and happy; the longer you live, the better.
Worship is behind all promises. God gives you promises of grace. But when you follow His instructions, you will enjoy His promises.
Obedience To God Is The Key To Freedom
Sometimes you understand God’s instructions. But sometimes it’s not. You have to admit whether you understand or not.
Some of God’s commandments can be confusing. Some may seem unfair. For example, the Bible says to take the first 10 percent of your income and give it back to Him. When people do bad things to you, you are told to do them good. These things don’t always make sense from a human perspective. But the things that don’t make sense to us are the things God asks us to do in faith. He wants us to trust him and obey him no matter what.
I want you to enjoy all the promises of God. Obedience to them is key. Choose today to follow His instructions in faith. He promises to reward you for your worship. When you think of worship, does “joy” immediately come to mind? Not likely. But the Bible tells us to obey God with joy. As it turns out, there are many reasons to be happy when we obey God.
You see the writers of these psalms teach us to obey God with joy, and then tell us that God actually delights in keeping His commandments. How sweet is obedience to God? Here are three reasons:
Obedience Is Better Than Sacrifice
1. When you obey God, there will be fewer problems. God created you and gave you the Bible – an instruction manual for life. If you follow his instruction manual, the problems will be minimal. It’s like putting a bike back together – the whole process will be much easier if you follow the instructions. If you follow life’s instruction manual, you will have fewer problems and enjoy life.
“God bless those who patiently endure trials and temptations. Then they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.”
(1 John 5:3). Consider the marriage relationship. The longer two people live together, the more they know what makes the other tick. They start choosing not to do those things because they don’t want to upset their loved one. As you walk with the Lord for many years, you will realize what He has done for you and how good He has been to you. So you will underestimate him. You enjoy doing his bidding. You do it because you love it.
Do you know how God measures your love? It’s not what you say. God will measure your love by obedience. Jesus said:

“Thank you for sending Jesus to die for my wrongdoings so I don’t have to pay the penalty. I know I don’t deserve your forgiveness. Lord God, I know only grace can save me. Never be good enough to enter a wonderful place.
Ephesians 6:1 Children, Obey Your Parents In The Lord, For This Is Right

Bible Verses About ‘obedience’
Commentary:- Jesus said that to be a disciple one must obey all the teachings. Students will only be called friends when they complete all assignments. Only by obeying the teachings of Jesus can we have a close relationship. If we do not obey His instructions, we will not receive His blessings.
Explanation: – Jesus knows the hearts of the people, so many will say I love you Lord, but very few will obey his commandments. Jesus warns us to follow His teachings so that we can be His disciples so that His name will be glorified in our lives.
John 8:31-32 “Then Jesus said to the Jews who believed in him, ‘If you keep my word, you will be my disciples indeed; you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.”
Explanation: During Jesus’ time, many Jewish leaders and Pharisees opposed his teachings. But Jesus taught them with authority, being God in the flesh. He says that what Jesus preached will be free only when it has truth.
Obedience That Comes From Faith
Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says, ‘Lord, Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father in heaven.”
Explanation: – The Bible teaches that not everyone will enter heaven. Many people may want to work for the expansion of God’s kingdom, but there will be little opportunity
