Kingdom of Heaven focuses on the story of a blacksmith named Balian. The film begins with Balian’s spiritual journey to the city of Jerusalem.
Although the makers have used Balian as the lead character, the most inspiring and popular actor in the film is Salahuddin Ayyubi. Except for a few characters, most of the characters in the film are fictitious, including the main character.
On the contrary, the film is somewhat faithful in presenting the historical facts surrounding Salahuddin Ayyubi’s liberation of Jerusalem.

It’s a very entertaining movie. I don’t know if I would call it fine art, but I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes medieval reproductions. I still have issues with Orlando Bloom’s acting, but you can’t change the past.

One of a kind. It explains how he helped build the siege engines. These had to be built on the ground in the middle of an actual siege/battle, so the people building them had to be trained in basic weapons.

And Godfrey teaches him the art of standing tall in the forest, so it’s 1000xp faster and a level up right there.

Watch Kingdom Of Heaven On Netflix Today!
As a medieval history specialist, I can sympathize with them. 90% of the time there’s no reason to give characters historically inaccurate clothing or weapons/weapons unless the directors/producers want to make them look lazy and/or medieval like popular culture (ie. full plates). armor on anything set before 1400).
