Who Is True God In This World
What sets us apart, in obedience to Him who had compassion on the multitude and ministered to their healing:
John 5:13 21
At times like this, causing misery, sorrow, grief, sickness, pain, loss, calamity and the like.
Beloved, God created us and our emotions, and it is not sinful or inappropriate to express our emotions or sorrow as Job did in the Bible.
Our faith in God and trust in Him must not depend on what we receive from Him, but on who He is – the Alpha and Omega, Creator of the whole universe, able to speak and do, our Protector, Provider and Maintainer. .
Covid-19 is not the result of personal sin on the part of the sufferer. As we intercede for the afflicted, let us continue to intercede for our world that God may heal all the afflicted, and God may heal our world through our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Amen.
Who Controls The World? God Or Satan?
In times like these, let us be faithful to God and His Word. No matter how bad the world is, God remains God.
Beloved, in times like this let us always remember to look after all our brothers and sisters, parents and children, and all our loved ones. A call can save a life. Grant us the grace to take care of His creation in the name of good Lord Jesus, Amen.
According to Psalm 91:7 a thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come to you in Jesus name, Amen.
We commit ourselves to those who have lost their loved ones and therefore mourn in the hands of God for divine comfort in Jesus Name, Amen.
For God So Loved The World
We dedicate all those who are sick in the hospital bed or at home to God for divine healing in Jesus Name, Amen.
Heavenly Father, protect us all from deadly viruses and diseases and don’t let any evil befall us or come near our abode. All this we ask in the name of our Lord and Savior – Jesus Christ, Amen While billions of people believe that Jesus of Nazareth was one of the world’s most important figures, many others reject the idea that he ever existed. For example, a 2015 survey conducted by the Church of England found that 22 percent of adults in England did not believe that Jesus was a real person.
However, among Christian biblical New Testament scholars there is little disagreement as to whether he actually lived. Lawrence Mykytiuk, associate professor of library science at Purdue University and author of the 2015
On the extra-biblical evidence for Jesus, note that even in antiquity there was no debate on this issue. “Jewish rabbis who didn’t like Jesus or his followers accused him of being a sorcerer and leading people astray,” he says, “but they never said he existed.”
The Only Way
There is no concrete physical or archaeological evidence for the existence of Jesus. “There’s nothing definitive, nor would I expect it to be,” Mykytiuk said. “Farmers generally do not leave archaeological trails.”
“The reality is that we have virtually no archaeological record for anyone who lived in the time and place of Jesus,” said University of North Carolina religious studies professor Bert D. Ehrman, Does Jesus Exist? Historical arguments for Jesus of Nazareth. “A lack of evidence does not mean that someone did not exist at that time. This means that he or she, like 99.99% of the rest of the world at the time, had no impact on the archaeological record.”
Questions of authenticity still surround direct relics associated with Jesus, such as the crown of thorns he wore during his crucifixion (a possible example is kept in Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris), and the Shroud of Turin, a linen burial cloth Decorated with the image of his face.
However, archaeologists have been able to confirm elements of the New Testament story of Jesus. Although some have disputed the existence of ancient Nazareth, the city of his biblical childhood, archaeologists have found a rock-hewn courtyard house with tombs and a well. They also found physical evidence of a Roman crucifixion similar to that of Jesus described in the New Testament.
Bible Verses On Trusting God
The most detailed record of Jesus’ life and death comes from the four Gospels and other New Testament writings. “They are all Christians and naturally and understandably biased in what they report, and really need to be evaluated very critically to establish historically reliable data,” Ehrman said. “But their central claim about Jesus as a historical figure – a Jew, with followers, executed by order of Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor of Judea during the reign of Emperor Tiberius – is confirmed by later sources with an entirely different set prejudices.”
Within a few decades of his lifetime, Jesus was mentioned by Jewish and Roman historians in passages that confirm the parts of the New Testament that describe Jesus’ life and death.
First-century Jewish historian Flavius Josephus, who Ehrman says is “our best source of information about first-century Palestine,” mentions Jesus twice in the Jewish Antiquities, his massive 20-volume account of the Jewish people which is written around. 93 AD
Josephus, believed to have been born a few years after Jesus’ crucifixion around 37 AD, was a well-connected Palestinian noble and military leader who served as a commander in Galilee during the first Jewish revolt against Rome between 66 and 70 AD, although Josephus was a follower of Jesus No, “he was there when the early church started, so he knew people who saw and heard Jesus,” says Myktiuk.
The True God Of This World
Speaking of an illegal execution, Josephus identifies the victim James as “the brother of Jesus-who-is-called-Messiah”. While few scholars doubt the veracity of the short account, Mykytiuk said, more controversy surrounds Josephus’ longer passage about Jesus, known as the “Testimonium Flavianum,” which describes a man “who did miracles” and who was condemned by Pilate to be crucified. . Myktiuk agrees with most scholars that Christian writers changed parts of the passage but did not insert it largely into the text.
Another account of Jesus appears in the Annals of Imperial Rome, the first century of the Roman Empire written around AD 116 by the Roman senator and historian Tacitus. In his account of the burning of Rome in AD 64, Tacitus notes that the emperor Nero falsely accused “those commonly called Christians, who are hated for their greatness. Christ, the founder of the name, was put to death by Pontius Pilate, procurator . of Judea, during the reign of Tiberius.”
As a Roman historian, Tacitus did not favor any Christians in his discussion of Nero’s persecution of Christians, Ehrman says. “Everything he says – from a completely different perspective, by a Roman writer who hated Christians and their superstitions – corresponds to what the New Testament itself says: Jesus was killed for crimes against Pontius Pilate, the governor of Judea. State, and a religious movement of its followers arose in its wake.”
“When Tacitus wrote, if he thought the information was not completely reliable, he usually wrote some allusions to it for his readers,” says Myktiuk, who supports the answer’s historical value. “There is no such indication of possible error in the passage to which Christ refers.”
God Against The Gods: The History Of The War Between Monotheism And Polytheism: Amazon.co.uk: Kirsch, Jonathan: 9780142196335: Books
Shortly before Tacitus wrote his account of Jesus, the Roman governor Pliny the Younger wrote to the emperor Trajan that early Christians would “sing Christ like a god”. Some scholars also believe that the Roman historian Suetonius referred to Jesus as the emperor Claudius expelled the Jews from Rome who “caused constant disorder at the instigation of Chrestus”.
Ehrman says that this collection of snippets from non-Christian sources may not provide much information about the life of Jesus, “but it is helpful to realize that Jesus was known by historians who had reason to look into the matter. No one has thought he was made up.”
